      Question from Bo by e-mail:

I’m a student doing traffic prediction research. This competition is very interesting to me. I’m actively exploring the data and codes you provided. I just want to ask if we are allowed to use the fine-tuning method with given 100 by 12 slots? This would mean changing input and output shape in the middle step to utilize the given testing input data.

      Dear Bo,
Participants are free to use any data provided (static, dynamic, test) or public for their models in both competitions, and we’d be delighted to see many different approaches succeed in the competition. See our terms and conditions (https://www.iarai.ac.at/traffic4cast/terms-and-conditions/):

      21. Participants are tasked with creating a solution for each challenge during the Competition. All proposed solutions and case studies should be built solely based on the traffic map movie data provided by the Data Provider (“Data Sets”), plus optionally any other data the Organizer makes available for Competition Challenges via the Organizer’s Website to all Participants, plus optionally any other open data that publicly available and that is free to be used by all Participants for this Competition.

      Happy coding!

      Christian

      Dear host

Are participants allowed to ensemble multiple models ?
      thanks

      Dear participant

Yes, using ensemble approaches is perfectly fine, and we’re looking forward to see many such approaches in the competition. You should just make sure to respect the T&Cs (https://www.iarai.ac.at/traffic4cast/terms-and-conditions/), in particular

      4. Competition Rules

Specific Rules for ‘Traffic4cast Competition 2021’

      6. Intellectual Property Rights

      1. Participants shall be the owners of all intellectual property rights to works created during the Competition.
